Search the Watch Market

Search the Watch Market gives your AI assistant live access to a wide watch-market dataset — current listings across major marketplaces, auction results, asking-price history, dealer and seller context, model specs, brand-level trends, and supply-and-demand signals — so answers are grounded in what’s actually out there right now instead of stale training knowledge

Search The Watch Market Business API Example

This repository contains documentation and tooling for the Search The Watch Market /data Business API.

What is in this repo

  • API documentation: See API_REFERENCE.md for full endpoint and authentication details.

  • AI assistant (MCP) access: See MCP_REFERENCE.md to connect Cursor or other MCP-compatible apps using the same subscription and API key.

  • Main website: https://searchthewatchmarket.com

  • Pre-created Insomnia collection: insomnia_collection.json is ready to import. Requests hit production (https://data.searchthewatchmarket.com). Set api_key in the environment; edit group_id and listing_id directly in each request URL.

  • Example app: example-app is a sample UI client. It is not the API. npm start serves the demo page on localhost; requests go to production.

API key requirement

A valid API key is required for all /data/* endpoints.

You can obtain your API key from:

After subscribing to a Business API plan, use the key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header as described in API_REFERENCE.md. The same key works for MCP assistant access.
